Envelope Stuffing Job

Employment seekers are being scammed with offers of employment stuffing envelopes from home.

Scam: Envelope Stuffing Job

Who It Targets: Individuals looking for employment from their homes.

How It Works: This scam is one of the oldest ones around, but sadly, it's making a comeback. In this scam, unwitting victims who are just trying to earn extra income are tricked into paying for lists of companies who need this service, supplies for stuffing and mailing envelopes, training courses, and more.

What To Do: This is not a genuine, viable source of income. Remember, any job that expects you to pay out of pocket for the training or the supplies to do the job is a scam. Also, remember that office technology has rendered this job pretty much obsolete, so companies would invest in mailer machines instead of shipping their fold-and-stuff work to you.
