Identity Theft Awareness Day
The Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) developed Identity Theft Awareness Day to bring vital information into communities throughout San Diego County. Identity Theft: Truth or Consequences is the focus of the presentation being presented at 34 venues on October 23, 2008. These presentations are designed to educate consumers on the need to be diligent in protecting their personal information.
ITRC has joined with the following organizations to bring this information into communities throughout San Diego County:
• Board of Supervisors – Chairman Greg Cox and Vice-Chairwoman Dianne Jacob
• California State Assemblymembers from San Diego County
• San Diego County District Attorney’s Victim Assistance Program
• San Diego County Sheriff’s Crime Prevention Unit
• California Crime Prevention Officers Association
• U.S. Postal Inspection Service
• Victim Assistance Coordinating Council
• Volunteer Services of the San Diego Police Department
