Throughout the year, the ITRC participates in numerous presentations on identity theft, from state and national conferences to neighborhood community events.

1/10/2007 - California Crime Prevention Officer’s Association - Community Event
Update presentation for approximately 40 crime prevention officers from around Southern California.  Jay Foley addressed new scams and other hot topics.

2/10/2007 - FP Financial Services, Inc. – Presentation
Dan Bulley provided a General Identity Theft Awareness presentation to this financial group located in Illinois.

2/14/2007 - Dodge Sunshine Seminars – Annual Conference
Jay Foley provided a customized presentation on Identity Theft: Protecting Yourself and Your Business for more than 125 funeral directors at this annual conference held in Las Vegas, NV.

2/27/2007 - SCORE - Community Event/Workshop
General identity theft was the topic of this workshop provided for the San Diego Chapter of the Service Corp of Retired Executives.

2/28/2007 - PEO - Community Event
More than 30 senior women attended this presentation which served to educate them on the general issues surrounding identity theft.

3/1/2007 - Miami Dade College Faculty & Employee - Seminar
Branch Walton participated in this seminar and conference on the college campus for approximately 40 attendees.

3/6/2007 - San Diego Warrant Officers Association - Presentation
A general identity theft presentation was provided to this group of approximately 30.

3/7/2007 - Mission Federal Credit Union - Presentation
Some 40 members of upper management attended this presentation on the ITRC's mission and operations.

3/12/2007 - Broward County Aviation Division - Training
Branch Walton conducted this training for employees at the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

3/14/2007 - Dodge Company – Annual Conference
Branch Walton provided a customized presentation for more than 100 Funeral Directors at this seminar held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

3/14/2007 - Merchant Risk Council – National Annual Event
Jay Foley served as the Keynote speaker for this event which drew attendees from around the country.  The presentation, Identity Theft and the Merchant, addressed common issues facing merchants, vendors and financial institutions.
  
3/24/2007 - Consumer Protection Day - Community Event

ITRC staffed a booth at this community event which drew more than 1,200 attendees.   Don’t Be a Target…Get Informed was the theme for this event sponsored by the County of San Diego.

3/27/2007 - National Association of Professional Background Screeners – Panel
Jay Foley participated on this panel which addressed identity theft and background screening processes for an audience of more than 100.

4/2/2007 - PEO - Community Event
More than 30 senior women attended this presentation which served to educate them on the general issues surrounding identity theft.

4/9/2007 - Lemon Grove Rotary - Presentation
General identity theft was the topic of this presentation for local community business men and women.

4/11/2007 - Military Officers Association of America - Presentation
A general identity theft presentation was provided to this group of approximately 35.

4/18/2007 - ABA – Webcast Presentation
Identity Theft Best Practices was the topic of this webinar with more than 200 participants.

4/28/2007 - Lemon Grove Rotary - Community Event
ITRC staffed a booth at this community event focusing on safety issues for teens.  The Teen video played throughout the event. 

5/2/2007 - Office of City Councilman Jose Huizar – Community Forum
Jay Foley was a panelist for this forum on Identity Theft and Fraud Awareness hosted by Los Angeles Councilman Jose Huizar, Eaglerock Chamber of Commerce and the 20th Century Women’s Club.    

5/9/2007 - Biosite Inc. – Presentation
General identity theft was the topic of this “brown bag lunch” presentation for approximately 75 employees.

Identity Theft Best Practices was the topic of this presentation provided to approximately 100 Human Resource managers from around the country.

"ID Theft Resource Center should be at the top of every event planner's list for keynote speakers.  They are superbly qualified to talk about the subject and completely captivated the minds of attendees at our conference.  Attendees were 'awakened' by the risks surrounding ID theft issues, and how employee data can be at risk in their own organizations.  Their expertise combined with a hard-hitting presentation style captivated the audience from start to finish. I look forward to using them at a future conference!"

5/30/2007 - Fleishman-Hillard Inc. – Presentation
ITRC Representative Dan Bulley provided this General Identity Theft presentation for this employee event held in St. Louis, MO.

6/1-2/2007 - National Notary Association – Annual Conference
Jay Foley conducted two presentations/workshops on Identity Theft Best Practices, on back-to-back days in Los Angeles.  More than 475 attendees were present at these workshops customized to meet the needs of notaries.

General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of this presentation to employees of the Washington State Migrant Council.

8/3/2007 - "Retirement Dreaming" - Informational Fair/Community Event

ITRC staffed a booth at this event sponsored by the San Diego County Treasurer/Tax  Collector Dan McAllister (photo right).  This 2nd Annual retirement fair showcased local San Diego companies, groups and organizations. 

8/4/2007 - National Night Out in Chula Vista - Community Event
The ITRC joined with the City of Chula Vista in recognizing this "24th Annual National Night Out". This event took place at Eucalyptus Park in Chula Vista.

8/7/2007 - National Night Out in Escondido - Community Event
The ITRC joined with the City of Escondido in recognizing this "24th Annual National Night Out". Grape Day Park in Escondido was the site for this event.

8/13/2007 - Association of Public Treasurers of the U.S. & Canada - Presentation
Jay Foley addressed Identity Theft: Protecting Yourself and Your Agency at this 42nd Annual Conference held in San Diego.

8/16/2007 - Louisiana Board of Regents - Presentation / Webinar
General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of this presentation to employees of the Louisiana Board of Regents.

8/20/2007 - DHS/U.S. Customs & Border Protection - Presentation
General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of two presentations to DHS employees in Memphis, TN.

8/21/2007 - DHS/U.S. Customs & Border Protection - Presentation
General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of two presentations to DHS employees in New Orleans.


8/23/2007 - Privacy Symposium at Harvard University - Symposium
Privacy and Identity Theft Case Study was the topic of this presentation provided by Linda Foley.  This event drew a national audience of consumer advocates and business leaders as it addressed key national privacy policy issues.

8/24/2007 - DHS/U.S. Customs & Border Protection - Presentation
General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of two presentations to DHS employees in Mobile, AL.

8/29/2007 - LA Care Health Plan - Presentation/Workshop
Jay Foley provided three presentations on General Identity Theft and Business Best Practices for this health care business located in the Los Angeles area.


9/5/2007 - League of California Cities - Presentation
Identity Theft: Governmental Issues and Responsibilites was the subject for this breakout session during the 2007 League of California Cities Annual Conference held in Sacramento.

9/27/2007 - United States Attorney's Office - Seminar
Jay Foley was the keynote speaker for this "Fraud and Electronics Crimes" Seminar held in Buffalo, NY.  The audience consisted of approximately 125 federal and local law enforcement, probation officers, prosecutors and victim advocates.

9/30/2007 - North American Securities Administrators Association - Panel
Identity Fraud: Public-Private Perspectives was the topic of this panel for NASAA's 90th Annual Conference held in Seattle.
   This event drew more than 200 attendees from around the country. 

10/11-12/2007 - Bucks County - Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) - Training
Victim advisor training for victim witness coordinators from the Bucks County, PA area.

10/12/2007 - Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) - Presentation
General identity theft education and awareness was the topic of this webinar for LOSFA.

10/17/2007 - Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol - Training
A one-hour training on Law Enforcement and Identity Theft Victim Relations was provided to this RSVP patrol group serving the San Diego community.

General identity theft awareness was the topic of this presentation for this community event in Spring Valley.

12/6/2007 - US Department of Justice/Office for Victims of Crimes - Presentation
