In the 2 years I have been dealing with these attacks, my family and I have turned to many places that we thought would provide help, shelter, guidance, or even just to redirect us to where we can get help... We found your service and it was the best thing about our experience with identity theft – Wilma was amazing. She was very intuitive and she was able to help us stay ahead of the trauma, and gave us so many useful tools and suggestions. It would have been much, much more difficult to get through all of this without ITRC, and we would have been much more traumatized without your help. I’m so glad that there is a service like yours out there. We have shared what we have learned with friends and family, and we hope that everyone is being more careful with their identity now. It’s ugly out there.

The level of expertise and assistance I received was second to none and made me feel very assured of your company and department. It is quite an uneasy thing to experience and there is a high degree of uncertainty in the situation, but it is reassuring to know there are people I can call who not only know what they are doing, but also care about it to such a high degree.

I received my credit report and was horrified at what I saw. I was in the process of preparing information to dispute their records when this morning I received a report from their investigaton and all the incorrect information has been removed and my credit once again is in good standing and the companies that had requested a credit report have been notified of the corrected information. Thank you for your help in this matter. I hope you have more outcomes like this. I can't tell you how much this means to me.

I took the time to answer this survey which I generally will not, except that when I reached out to your staff for assistance when we had to appear in court to make a statement about a FG that was caught breaking in to my son’s car, one of your staff was so wonderful... I just had to take a moment to give you our family's heartfelt appreciation for all of your wonderful guidance. Words cannot express how grateful we are for YOU and your organization. I really don't think I would even be halfway functioning today without you, because as you know, I was (still am) "frozen" and over-whelmed, by the devastating home burglary in which the identity information for our family was stolen. Your knowledge is beyond incredible, and your method of explanation is exact and calming. It is so beneficial to me, after our conversation, to follow up with your informational e-mail per our conversation.

Thank you again for being such a wonderful and special person. With your help, maybe we will be able to work through this overwhelming situation.

As you know I rave about you and your Center to everybody we see! Hopefully good things may come from my "praises". I also told the Crime Assistance Center about you, as well a DA, prosecutors, etc. friends.

Thank you. You have an excellent website and this article in particular is very insightful. When my husband was the victim of ID theft, he went through every emotion Dr. Nelson described. I was too mad and too busy straightening things out to have time to "feel", until it was all over. Then my major emotion was satisfaction. The Fresno Police Department worked with me and we had three arrests, three convictions, and three offenders who are serving prison sentences right now. It still makes me smile.
