Steve Bellio, CISSP, PMP
Steve Bellio, Network Security Manager for a large telecom company for over 29 years, has spent the bulk of his career in the IT, network and security fields.
His extensive IT and network security background, combined with his extreme interest in anything security-related and his desire to protect his family from identity thieves, has led him down the path of personal security and identity theft prevention.
After conducting a great deal of research to arm himself with the knowledge necessary to address the different types of identity theft and the best methods for mitigating the risk, he took the next logical step to bring this information to the community at large.
He combined his new knowledge with his writing and speaking skills, and began reaching out to others in an effort to help friends, neighbors, co-workers and community groups to reduce the chance that they may one day become victims of this terrible crime. Steve has published identity theft papers (internal company use only), conducted ID theft training, lectured on the topic of combating identity theft (including multiple talks at the most recent Southeast CyberCrime Summit) and has appeared on the Internet Security News Network in a series of interviews and as a guest speaker.
