Utah has launched a new program to help protect children from identity theft. Utah

30 Month Sentence for Identity Theft
A Charlotte woman was ordered to serve 30 months in federal prison for an identity theft related offense, announced Anne M. Tompkins, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

Breaches 2012
As of January 31 , the ITRC has reported 27 breaches for 2012. The ITRC has been tracking breaches since 2005 and updates these reports weekly.
