Scammers are attempting to gather personal information via fake political lobbying.
Who Is It Targeting: Voters in Okaloosa, Florida
What Is It: There are reports of scammers using the election season to convince consumers into giving them personal information. The scammers are calling residents of Okaloosa, FL and using different scenarios to request personal information. This may be to support a certain candidate or to register to vote. The Okaloosa County Election Supervisor has stated that these calls are indeed scams and are unauthorized by his organization.

How Can You Avoid It: If you receive a call like this, simply hang up. You should never give your personal information to someone who calls you and requests it out of the blue.
