Vote By Phone Scam

Voters are falling for the false opportunity to vote by phone and in turn exposing their personal information.

Who Is It Targeting: Voters

What Is It:  Scammers are taking advantage of the upcoming election by calling  consumers and telling them they can vote by phone. However, in order for them to be able to do so, they must provide their social security number or other personal information.

What Are They After: Personal Information

How Can You Avoid It:

  • You cannot vote by phone - you can only vote by mail or in-person.
  • Report this scam to your local police.
