April 3rd isn’t April Fool’s Day and that’s a good thing because there is nothing foolish about attending this month’s #IDTheftChat. The 3rd is the 1st Thursday in April and that means another Identity Theft Twitter Chat. This month’s topic is scams and we are very excited to have IDT911 as our co-host!
Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a fool to fall for most of the scams out there these days. The more we talk about the issues and get the word out about current scams and how to protect yourself, the better off we will all be. Therefore, this Identity Theft Twitter Chat is just another way the ITRC is really trying to reach mainstream consumers to make them aware of identity theft and related issues, like scams. This Identity Theft Twitter Chat will take place at 11:00am PST on April 3rd 2014.

This month’s event should help make participants aware of some of the scams out there and give them resources to use should they fall victim to a scam. It also allows us to share our scam stories, because everyone has at least one!
