Hands-On Privacy Workshop

How has Privacy affected your life?

Do you ever think about YOUR privacy? You probably do more often than you think – after all, how often do you close your bedroom door when you just want to be alone or not interrupted? When you’re having a conversation with a friend you probably say different things than you would if you were talking to the entire student body.

Girl Scouts Register Now for September 9th

Register now to attend the next Hands-on Privacy Workshop! Open to Girl Scouts in Grades 8-12 and their parents, this privacy workshop provides step-by-step instructions on how to change settings for mobile devices, apps, and social media accounts.

Learn how to empower yourself on your mobile device! Girl Scouts will come away from this event with a valuable understanding of their online footprint and the digital world in which they live.

"The ITRC Hands on Privacy Workshop and the CyberScout Scholarship opportunity has helped our girls Discover, Connect and Take Action to make the world a better place! This opportunity inspired Girl Scouts to discover what privacy is, connect the importance of privacy in their lives and take action by empowering them to share what they learned with their community.  It has been a pleasure working with the Identity Theft Resource Center to grow this program to reach as many Girl Scouts as possible to equip them with the knowledge and skills to safely utilize technology in their lives." Michaela, STEAM Program Specialist, Girl Scouts San Diego

NOTE: This is not a drop-off event.  Girl Scouts are required to bring a guardian, troop leader or friend to help educate our community. Please register each Girl Scout and guest attending the event.
