iPhone users are receiving fake texts messages asking to sign in to iCloud using their Apple ID.

What Is It:  Scammers are making an old scam new again by using iCloud as a way to access personal information. Individuals receive a text message that includes a link which prompts them to log into iCloud using their Apple ID. By doing so, victims end up exposing their personal information.

What Are They After: Personal information

How Can You Avoid It:

  • Do not click on any links within a text message from senders you do not recognize.
  • Block the number or email address and then report the text message to Apple.
