Law What it Addresses
HB 65

Relating to breaches of security involving personal information, credit report and credit score, security freezes, protection of social security numbers, care of records, disposal of records, identity theft, credit cards, and debit cards, disclosure of the names and addresses of permanent fund dividend applicants, and to the jurisdiction of the office of administrative hearings.

AS Sec. 45.48.010-090 Alaska Personal Information Protection Act – Covers a number of protections for personal information, including: data breach notification, the placing of a security freeze on consumer credit report, restrictions on the use of personal information, the disposal of records containing personal information, allowing for a factual declaration of innocence, and truncation of card information.
