You Don't Have to Face Identity Crimes Alone
Identity theft, scams and fraud affect millions of people every year, and too often, those impacted are left wondering where to turn. These crimes disrupt lives, systems and trust, from housing and healthcare to employment and financial stability.
The Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) is the only national nonprofit solely focused on identity crime prevention and recovery. Our services are free, human-centered and trauma-informed. The ITRC is committed to providing direct support and a path forward.
In 2025 alone, ITRC directly supported nearly 6,000 individuals, responded to more than 7,000 victim requests and addressed over 8,700 identity-related concerns. That’s in addition to the more than 1.2 million indirect instances of support through our websites, podcasts, social media and news media outreach.
These aren’t just numbers; they represent people who found the help they needed when they needed it most.
